Increased research allocations for MDH in the Government’s budget proposal

In the budget proposal presented by the Swedish Government today, allocations for research at MDH have increased by 13.5 million kronor.

According to Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Minister for Higher Education and Research, this is part of a conscious decision to strengthen the new universities in the country.

- This is something for which MDH has been working hard for quite some time, so this is good news today and a step in the right direction, says Karin Röding, Vice-Chancellor at MDH.

• In 2015, MDH received government allocations of 88.9 million kronor for research and research education.
• In the budget proposal for 2016, 103.7 million kronor are allocated for research and research education at MDH.
